About the Naples IAHSP ChapterWorld Wide Staging Service Week 2008 Again this year our beneficiary was the Ronald McDonald House in South Fort Myers on the campus of The Children’s Hospital at HealthPark. This facility serves a five county area in Southwest Florida. After our highly successful project last year, the executive director, Debra Newman, invited us back to tackle a few additional projects. This year’s project actually began several months ago. In order to raise funds for the items we needed to purchase, our Chapter organized two garage sales. The first sale took place in Naples last May, and we raised $800. Then in July a second sale was held in Fort Myers, and we raised an additional $400. Our projects at the Ronald McDonald House consisted of purchasing a craft project table for the Activities Room, which the director had requested, and supplying materials for craft projects that the residents could complete in their spare time. On Staging Day the new craft table was set up, along with two new wooden stools, the craft project materials were put away and the entire room was cleaned and Staged. Additionally, our goal was to improve the front entrance to the House. We purchased two new benches and two large ceramic pots for the entry area. On Staging Day, the ASPs assembled the benches and planted fresh plants in the pots. The entry area was pressure washed and Staged with the new benches and planters. As a final touch, the front door received a fresh coat of white paint. The ASP Stagers who participated in the project were Margie Ogle, Chapter President and Ambassador, Kathy Mouyos, Roberta Mangum, Debbie Towns, and Beth Champion (and her husband). Our heartfelt thanks to all! World Wide Staging Service Week 2008 The NIRC garage sale fundraiser to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Southwest Florida was held on May 3, 2008. Our efforts raised over $800! These funds will be used to purchase items needed for our World Wide Staging Service Week project in September. At that time we plan to Stage the Activities Room and the front entry at the Ronald McDonald House. We will purchase a craft project table, craft supplies and new outdoor benches. World Wide Staging Service Week 2007 Our beneficiary this year was the Ronald McDonald House in South Fort Myers on the campus of The Children’s Hospital at HealthPark. This facility serves a five county area in Southwest Florida. The executive director, Debra Newman, was most gracious in accepting our invitation to Stage the Ronald McDonald House. By the time the project was completed, her expectations were far exceeded!
